What I want to dish about today is sharing the love with your audience. There are a lot of creative ways to show clients, customers, newsletters subscribers, partners, and all your business besties how much you appreciate them.
I make it a practice to “show the love” through my business as much as possible. And I’ve put together a list of easy ideas to get your hearts pumping for ways to shower love and confetti on your favorite people, too.
Join me in this heart-fest, and be prepared! Lots of love might just come right back at you.
LinkedIn Recommendations: If you use LinkedIn, posting a recommendation on someone else’s profile is a business love letter they’ll be happy to receive. Look through your connections, find someone who you enjoyed a business interaction with, and write a short, heartfelt recommendation. They’ll love it!
Facebook Biz Page Reviews: Did you know that you can also leave reviews on Facebook business pages? Honestly, I get dizzy on FB lately, because things are always moving around, but I know that for most business pages there is a review tab and the opportunity to leave a review when you like that page. Check it out, leave a review, let that company or person know how much you love what they do.
Social Media Shout Outs: Is there someone you really appreciate and you want to shout it from the rooftops? Put it out there by posting a comment on one of their social media account. Share a photo, a memory, a story, and why you think they are the bee’s knees. Make sure everyone knows how awesome they are.
Handwritten Letters: The power of the handwritten letter is second to none. My very dear friend Julie Merrick recently spoke about how handwritten letters change lives as a Tedx speaker, and I agree. Plus I need an excuse to feed my stationery-collecting habit. Take a moment to hand write a long note or letter for someone who wouldn’t expect it such as a frequent supportive commenter on social media. Or a client you really enjoyed working with but haven’t talked to in a while. How about your friend in business who has been there with you from the very first step and never faltered? Write. Send. Repeat. It’s a habit worth having.
Give Generously of Your Time: Show some love for your audience online by hosting an impromptu “ask me anything” Facebook live session. The ones who love you most are the ones most likely to see you’re online and attend, and they’ll appreciate it. Or, you can take things offline (real life, gasp!) and schedule an open invitation meetup at a local hangout where you’ll be there to connect, listen, chat, share smoothies, sip lattes, or just dish about the latest Scandal episode.
Create an Obsession List: Share all the resources you love and can’t do without. Like mine, HERE!
Parting words of love here, folks….
Don’t neglect your audience. Show them love — in generous and creative ways. Don’t be shy, when it comes to expressing your gratitude. And remember, a simple THANK YOU goes a long way!
